We have just received the latest release from Xerox – the WorkCentre 7970.
This new colour multifunction printer helps to streamline workflows, create new efficiencies, increase team productivity, reduce energy consumption and minimise costs, wherever and whenever you want, whilst still giving your data the highest levels of security and protection.
The WC7970’s output is high resolution, photo quality colour images and crisp text, on a variety of stock sizes and paper weights, with the option of additional finishing qualities including saddle stitched booklet making, Z and C folding, hole punching and multi-position stapling.
The WC7970 enables fast copy and print speeds of up to 70 ppm in black and white and colour along with secure, easy to use mobile printing features. In addition the control panel can be operated remotely from any office PC as though you were standing at the device.
Built on ConnectKey technology, the colour touch screen provides the personalisation of workflows (for more information on the advantages of ConnectKey, take a look at our blog post here).
Optimal security is provided through options such as encryption, user permissions, IP filtering, network authentication and smart card login, as well as integration with McAfee and Cisco TrustSec technologies to offer protection from external threats and enforce IT policies and compliance.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the many environmental features is the newly developed Induction Heating fuser, which does not require preheating, helping to reduce power consumption in standby mode by 44%. The device recovers from energy-saver mode in less than 10 seconds.
